This cup of coffee is responsible...

I am quite honored to be guest designing for Quirky Crafts Challenges.  I entered a challenge and was chosen as the winner and then i was asked to guest design.  The is the best compliment ever.  Thank you Cazzy and Quirky Crafts DT!

For this challenge i was asked to use an image from a company i've not heard of before called Crackerbox Palace..i love hearing about new stamp places!

This stamp is called Helen with Coffee and is available as a digital image as well as a rubber stamp from Crackerbox Palace.
I wanted to use this stamp because i have a very dear friend that must have her coffee in the morning before she can function.  I've made this card for her because my friend makes me smile and i was hoping this would make her smile as well.  Using dies on a card can make the card look fancy with minimal amount of work.  I like to hand cut my images out and this one was a bit challenging and fun because of the hair.

The die i used to mat my image is from Noor/Joy Craft and is the fancy rectangle. I made the sentiment on my computer.

Copics used:
skin- YR000, 00, R20
hair/unsmiley face- Y21, YR23

You only have a few days left...

That's right October is almost finished and so is the Halloween Challenge at  Sami Stamps! Hurry and enter..did you see the prize????  All you need is one of her stamps and to use Halloween colors..and guess what else....She has freebies..so what is stopping you?

The challenge at Sami's Stamps is to us a Sami Stamp and to use Halloween Colors!  Please come and play, we'd love to see what you can create.  Don't forget, Sami always offers a freebie so anyone can play along!

I am using one of Sami Stamps releases from last week..it is called "Whiskers under my broom".  My Whiskers has a touch of pixie dust too. :0)
I love this card so much i am sending it to my daughter in CO..she loves to receive cards!  I did a little technique with this moon.  I didn't have a moon diecut/or my cricut with me so i used what i had.  That was a Spellbinders circle and scallop circle.  What i did was cut the largest circle out that would work with the scallop.   I then took the circle that was the size smaller and cut out a section to make it look like a quarter moon. Then i cut out the scallop circle and placed it under the cut out moon.  I took the smaller circle again and slightly cut off the black to leave a bit showing.  I added Viva Pearl Pen dots to the moon to give it dimension...and a bit of sheen.  I cut strips of black tulle and gathered it up with thread and glue dotted it under the raised moon.

The entire release..it's so awesome:

Our sponsor is our DT member, Jessi!  She hand crochets on paper circles and you can see by my card that they make a super special card!

I used Jessi's crocheted circle in black and layered it with a scallop circle and then a circle..both from Spellbinders and they fit perfectly!  The flowers are handmade by a friend, Sigi, that rehabilitates wildlife and the money made from the sale of the flowers goes to help feed/take care of her wildlife until it can go back into the wild.   Flowers available here.

Dutch Paper Crafts Halloween House

The release i am using is called the Marianne Design "Garden Release" for Dutch Paper Crafts.
The set includes, 2 bench seats, topiary, butterfly, wheelbarrow and watering can.

For this project i created a Halloween house using Marianne Designs "straight" bench seat #LR0259 from the release:
Some other dies on this card NOT in the release are:
Marianne Designs House CR1217

What i did:
i cut out the house in black coredinations paper (core is gray) and sanded it.  Then i cut the house out of a double sided paper with orange dots on one side and spider webs on the back side.. I cut the top of the house off and rotated it for the top of the house.  Then i machine stitches the sides of the orange dotted house to the black house.  Then i cut up the front of the house so that the card will open in the center.  I had to discard the door.  I attached the bench seat to the right side flap.  Colored up Tilda and attached her to the seat.   I added glitter black pipe cleaners to the peaks of the house with a glue gun.  Then i was trying to find some paper to fill the windows and found the ghosts, but i wanted something different for the top window and came across this cut out circle i had in my stash, my intention was to cut it to fit the window and then i realized it would make a perfect rotating message..so i attached it with a brad.  Then i added the stickers to make the sentiments.

Close up of Tilda:

Copics used to color Tilda:
skin- YR000, 00,  E02, 04

Dutch Paper Crafts Butterfly House

The release i am using is called the Marianne Design "Garden Release" for Dutch Paper Crafts.
The set includes, 2 bench seats, topiary, butterfly, wheelbarrow and watering can.

For this project i created a Butterfly House wall hanging using Marianne Designs (butterfly, topiary LR0261) wheelbarrow and watering can LR0260:

Dies NOT in this release:
Joy Craft/ Noor Butterfly border 6002/0215
Marianne House - CR1219
Joy Craft (on side of house) 6002/0149
Marianne Designs fence LR0205
Cheery Lynn Lacy border (behind wheelbarrow and in windows for curtains) Anastasia Border B136
Spellbinders butterfly (giving Joy Crafts border a 3-d look) LF006
Marianne Designs flowers in watering can (from basket die) CR1208

What i did:
I bought a thin canvas board and covered it with designer paper using red line tape. Then i decorated it using the house, tag and dies.  I added the buttons using Fabric glue and wrapped the wire strung beads to them.  I added some rayon dyed ribbon to the top so it can be hung.  I attached the ribbon to the back and covered it with designer paper.

Copics use:
Tilda-
skin- YR000, 00, R20
hair-Y15, 19, YR23

Dutch Paper Crafts release.. All hearts go home for Christmas

The release i am using is called the Marianne Design "Garden Release" for Dutch Paper Crafts.
The set includes, 2 bench seats, topiary, butterfly, wheelbarrow and watering can.

For this project i created a Christmas tri-fold card using the "fancy" bench from Marianne Designs- LR0258:

Other dies NOT in this release:
Marianne Designs house
Lifestyle Crafts Nesting Doily Dies- Frame 8
Nellie Snellen Nesting Heart dies

What i did:
I cut out the house from music sheet designer paper  placed it on the front of a large blue card with the left side slightly extending over the flap.  Then i cut the excess off of the right side.  Next i made a small flap that would fit inside of the card but open on the front.  I matted the back of the flap with antique glitter paper and added a a light blue piece to the front of the flap.  I adhered the flap to the inside front with the part shown loose.  I added the bench seat and Tilda hanging over the edge.  To decorate the house i cut it out of the antique glitter paper and cut out the roofs and door/frame.  I added iridescent pipe cleaners to the roofs using a glue gun.  I placed Christmas tree paper inside the front door. I also cut out banners and machine sewed them in a strip to hang. On the inside of the flap i added the sentiment, Merry Christmas..and inside of the card i added a computer generated "All hearts go home for Christmas".

First flap w/sentiment:

Inside card:

Copics used:

Dutch Paper Crafts Halloween Window Card

The release i am using is called the Marianne Design "Garden Release" for Dutch Paper Crafts.
The set includes, 2 bench seats, topiary, butterfly, wheelbarrow and watering can.

For this project i created a Halloween Window Card using the "straight" bench seat LR0259 and topiary LR0261 from this release:
Dies NOT from this release:
Marianne Passe Part-Out Circle *(PPO) CR1239
Spellbinders Large Scallop circle (using the large circle from Passe-Out to make the green frame)
Memory Box Precious Stars 98546

What i did:
I lined the front of the card with a double sided purple designer paper and die cut the scallop die (Marianne PPO) eyelet out and then hand cut the white i just cut out from the inside of the card to get the back of the purple double sided paper to show.    I die cut out the green scallop frame by using the largest Spellbinders scallop circle with the largest circle from the Marianne PPO.  Inside left side i cut just the circle out from the PPO, on the right i cut out a piece of black tulle and  (cereal box) chipboard from the largest PPO circle..i zig zagged around the tulle (the only way to get it to stay down (?).  I added the bench/Tilda and Tilda's owl using Fabric glue.  Added a tulle bow and diamond stickles to the topiary.  I also added a bit of Diamond Stickles to the die cut stars.

Inside of the card:

Copics:
same as the Halloween house posted with this grouping

Dies Not in this release:
Marianne Passe Part-out oval- CR1241
Marianne Seashell/Starfish LR0230/LR0232
Spellbinders Grand Calibur scallop oval S4-111 (?)

What i did:
