Are you ready for Easter?

I have an idea that can be super quick and fun!  Easter baskets and Easter S'more Peeps.  I am using Easter Paquali from Digital Delights..and guess what?

The digital image, Easter Pasquali is the Digital Delight's March Bargain..and a super deal for $1 and if you don't feel like coloring there is a Easter Pasquali colored image as well for $1.10.

I did color mine and that is what you will see in this post.  Here is the complete idea:
What i did:
I purchased two tin buckets from Super Target, some bunny Peeps, graham crackers, and small Hershey bars.  I had card "sleeves" in my stash to use to hold the "s'more" Easter surprises.

Next i colored large images 4" tall (or whatever size you want to make them to fit your bucket/basket).  I actually cut out the images in an oval shape because i didn't have the right size die!  Then i used a Spellbinders scallop to mat the oval image.  I punched a few glitter stars for the "boy" basket and added a flower and a bow to the "girl's" basket.
Using a smaller image i typed out the "recipe" for making a s'more using a peep.  I cut the "recipe" out using a die and then matted it in pink or blue as shown.   I stapled the patterned paper to the top of the peep smore back and foam dotted the "recipe".

I think my grandchildren will be surprised when they receive this Easter basket.  And thinking about it, it has a Vintage look that i love!!

Here are "s'more" pictures for you to see:

Happy St. Patrick's Day!

I purchased this little cutie at Digital Delights...it was the Bargain of the week in February...what does that mean?  Well, it means at the beginning of each month there is a special image made just for the month and each week there are add-ons to make a "complete" picture.  I didn't purchase the add-on's this month..just main image.

Here is another "tip", on my left sidebar of this blog...there is a link to the current weekly bargain...this week it will be the 3rd in the set...but i believe you can purchase any of the previous items for this month until the end of the month for the bargain price!  Oh and FYI..this month's image is so cute..you've got to check it out!  Like i said just click on the sidebar picture..  You can at least go look and tell me what you think, right?

Anyway, here is my card using last months bargain image, called St. Patrick's Kiddle..oh and wait, it's still available in the store, just not the bargain price.

To make my shamrock background i used a lacy heart from Cheery Lynn dies and  a Memory Box flourish.  Both of these dies are available at Dutch Paper Crafts!

Copics used:
skin- YR000. 00, R14, 20

Aqua and Chevon and a new technique!

I was excited to see Chevon for a challenge theme at The Greeting Farm..i have several pads of paper with chevon patterns..this one is my favorite though..as i've used it twice now.  As usual when i start with a challenge i look for a sketch too and found a good one at Simon Says Stamp.

Now for my own personal challenge, i thought i'd try the "almost" no line technique.  LOL, i wanted to do the no lines, but didn't get quite there with it..
i used Memento Sand and stamped the TGF Gracie and gave it a go.  This is my first attempt..now i need to go watch some YouTube videos so i can get it right.

Here is my card:
Ok so the die in the corner is from Joy Crafts (available at Dutch Paper Crafts), the rest of the paper all came in the same paper pad.  I  used two flowers from Orchid as well.

Here is the sketch i used from Simon Says Stamp:

Hope you feel better soon!

This winter has been a tough one..i think it started before Christmas with the illnesses.  Seeing as i take care of my grandkids daily, we have a higher chance of getting sick and them getting sick.  I can finally say that we are all feeling well right now.  We had a week of Influenza B...the kids had such high temps.  It always makes me sad to see them suffer.

This card represents being sick this winter, and for all of you that are sick or on the mend i wish you well!  I am using "Bee Better"  and Feel Better Sentiments from Digital Delights:
As you can tell for several cards i am making lately, i've used this "glass" looking flower...i like them so well, i went ahead and ordered several more in different colors.

I am using a sketch from Tuesday Morning Sketches (designed by me this time..with the help of my daughter making it on Photoshop):

 Copics used:
 face- YR000, 00, R14, 20

Lucky You in Green

For this challenge at TGF, called "Lucky You",  i wanted to make a male card..don't have too many of those and i love this image from the Lovey Dovey Set..this stamp is called Lovey Dovey Oliver..and he's adorable!  I tried to make him a bit Irish.

This card would be great with an Irish Blessing and Good Luck on the front!

A bit of paper piecing here.  I paper pieced the hat and tie and added a brad from my stash for his tie decoration.   He looks pretty lucky to me.

I have used a sketch from "Sweet Sunday Sketch" and have entered the challenge:

This week at Tuesday Morning Sketches we are using one of the sketches i designed.  Oh but wait a minute..i am not that good at making the actual sketch..my daughter used Photoshop after i hand sketched the sketch...

So if you notice the sketch is GREEN. it turns out that it's Tuesday Morning's Twist for this challenge...

So you MUST make your card Monochromatic using GREEN!

Here is my card using A Day For Daisies mermaid:

A Good Read and a favorite drink

The challenge at TGF (The Greeting Farm) "Double Take Tuesday" is to use Blue and Brown.  I've had this image i've wanted to use it and thought perfect..my favorite drink is brown (hot chocolate at Starbucks, please) and i'd love a hat like this in blue.

The image i used on my card is called Latte Anya and is found in The Greeting Farm shop:

I've used one of my favorite dies from Joy Crafts...it is the Rectangle and it makes a great background and it can be embossed and with the right paper i can give it an antique look.  I also have a favorite place to get my ribbon on etsy called The Pink Petal.  She hand dyes all of her ribbon.

Copics used:
skin- YR000, 00, R14, 20

Dutch Heritage Mini album, Memory Box style

For the rest of the new Memory Box circle release at Dutch Paper Crafts, I thought it would be fun to make a Dutch Heritage Mini Album and tin.

The owner of Dutch Paper Craft's mother is Dutch.  I wanted to put some "memories" in this mini album for her.  It was a bit hard as i only know Darlene from being on the DT...so i had to "wing" it.

First let me share the tin cover:
Memory Box dies used are Falana Circle #98494 and Quinn Flourish #98267, similar to the gift bag i made. The image is for embroidery and is a freebie here.  (Gingerbread Cottage blog) I removed the sentiment from the heart.
I covered the tin on the sides and bottom inside and out.  Inside of the tin i made a mini album.  I cut the pages from a cereal box and lined both sides with paper.  The largest size of the Spellbinders Classic circles worked perfect for the pages.  For the entire album i used paper from Melody Ross Homespun collection called "Pink Stitchery"

Memory box die Hopmeadow Circle #98513. Image freebie on line here called Spring Tulips on Flickr
Then i accented the pages using the Memory box release circle dies as shown this is pages 1 and 2.
Memory box dies page 1, Falana Circle #98494 (cut in half), page 2 Jubilee Circle #98497, Quinn Flourish #98267.  Not included in this release is Marianne's Creatables Tulips LR0209
Memory Box dies p3 (not in this release Penne Frame #98387) free embroidery pattern found on line here at French-Knots blog.  (i stitched this up) Page 4 Memory Box Astrid Circle #98498 cut in half and stitched with Baker's Twine, paperdolls found here at Munecas de papel blog.
Memory Box die p.5 Astrid Circle #98498 cut in half and arched, (not included in this release is Cherry Lynn Two of Hearts DL128), p6 i used a punch from Stampin Up to hold Darlene's favorite soup recipe that her mom would make when she didn't feel well.  I've tried this recipe and it's yummy!! Charm is from Spoilt Rotten Beads in the UK.
I made this locket open up, by cutting the heart twice and cutting the lacey part off of the front piece.  I attached the small piece to the back by sewing some embroidery floss through the paper.  However, to make the locket "substantial", i cut the heart out of kraft paper and wet embossed it using a clear embossing ink and the wonderful embossing powder from Ranger Ink called Ancient Gold/Enchanted Gold #EGJ00730.  I left two spots for pictures.
back of the album. Memory box Jubilee Circle #98497

High fashion model wearing the latest paper dress

....wearing the latest in Memory Box Circle dies is this cute little artist model.

I thought it would be fun to dress a 5" wooden artist model using Dutch Paper Crafts newest die release from Memory Box.

The bodice is cut from Memory Box Falana Circle #98494; the skirt is layered using Astrid Circle #98498 and Quinn Flourish #98267.  Accessories, Hat is Quinn flourish #98498, shoes are pieces of the Falana Circle.
After the dies were cut, i got the pieces slightly wet and molded them to the model.  I let them dry and then i hot glued them in place.  I added a bit of ribbon for to the waist.  I also added pearls by using the Viva Pearl pen- "Ice White".  *Tip...if yo save the cut out "flower shapes" from the die Astrid Circle #98498 you can make a small flower...i made one for the hat.
