Enjoy Your Day!

With summer fast approaching..well, weather wise it seems to be here in Indianapolis, i thought this image made me think of the time i lived in Penarth, Wales on the canal...I love the water and the sailboats..maybe it's in my blood i grew up in Michigan and my parents have a cottage..although we never owned a sailboat...i do like the gracefulness of them.

This image to me at first glance looked "easy" to color, but i think this took me well over an hour to color and cut out...Tilda sure is a cutie!

Here is my card:

It's Baby time

Two of my nieces are having babies, here is the deal...neither one wants to know the gender of their baby before it is born...so for gift card holders..i tried to go a bit yellow and green.  I have used the criss/cross template and a stampin up punch (looks like a "c" slit) to hold the gift card in place.

I will share both of my gift cards:

Everyday Sweetness Pocket style

I think i've fallen in love with the sentiment, Everyday Sweetness..it can encompass different feelings in a sentiment i think...like  Thank you, Birthday, Everyday card..Thinking of you..it works well.  I first saw the sentiment in a Magnolia Ink magazine...i think it was a rub-on and i didn't have that so i made my own computer generated sentiment...and that way i could change the colors to match my paper.

I also colored my image based on a Tilda illustration in the current Magnolia Ink p65 of Artist Christine . (If you see this, Thank you)

The image i am using is simply called, "Tilda with Bananas" and the memories this image has is special...my mom, who rarely is "funny", but usually serious put a banana sticker on her forehead and started singing the Chiquita banana jingle...i still smile every time i see a banana sticker on a bunch of bananas.  So this one card is with that memory in mind:

Pocket View

I am entering this card in three challenges:
Sketch N Stash - Sketch (my old stash is the paper and the new stash is the image)

Everyday Sweetness

This card was made for the DT challenge at Card Crafter's Circle and the challenge this week is "Tags".  I saw this cute card somewhere on the internet and saved the sketch for future use..this is the time.  First i made a rectangle card and the colors and everything didn't work, so this is the second attempt and a square card instead.

The sponsor this week is Robyn's Fetish Designs and you will have to check the Card Crafter's Circle blog to see what awesome prize you will receive if your card is chosen. :)

Happy Birthday remake

This is the last of 3 cards i've remade.  I have totally taken the image i colored off of another card and remade this card.  I never posted the original as i had sent it into Stampers Sampler..and a piece of the card was published but not the whole card, because they were showcasing the technique i shared called crayon resist.

Here is my original card:

The many hats of Sadie

I used to make LO's all the time and have gotten away from it and have not been making as many, i felt inspired to make this LO of my granddaughter.  I really like the sketch that was shared at Lasting Memories even though the challenge isn't to "make the sketch" but to Celebrate Mom or another special woman in my life.

How can i say, how special this little girl is to me?  She is just starting to understand that she is a girl seeing as she is just 3..starting to like Princesses and pink and purple much to the chagrin of her mother that likes black and white.  So these choices came naturally without much environmental influences.  I wonder what type of a young lady she will become...you see i have taken care of her since she was 5 months old and wonder what type of influences i will have had on her when she grows up.  Hopefully, they will be good ones and that she will not pick up any bad traits i might have.  I think her 3 brothers will influence her as well, for now she seems to be able to take bumps and bruises and not get upset...and can throw a ball and catch really well.

I loved Shirley Temple when i grew up and when i see her smile and see those dimples...it brings back fond memories.  I wish and pray the best for my little Sadie.

Here is the Lo i made:
